About the CYC Day at the Capitol (DAC) Conference

The annual Day at the Capitol (DAC) Conference is an advocacy and leadership development conference for CYC chapters in Sacramento. On days one and two, members will attend three peer-led workshops to learn about the legislative process, understand the selected policy topic(s), and prepare to communicate experiences of adolescents in foster care and our advocacy goals. Supporters meet as a group to build community, understand the policy strategy, and receive training on topics such as youth leadership development. On day three, DAC attendees will participate in a peer-led rally and collectively have over 100 scheduled meetings with legislators to advocate for the selected policy topic(s).

Lodging

• Registration does not include lodging or parking fees. Please be sure to use the following link to book your lodging at our custom rate of $142.85 per night for double beds ($285.70 for both nights, includes 15.2% tax): CYC 2019 Day at the Capitol

• Deadline for booking your hotel rooms is Jan 10, 2019. Please aim to finalize booking in advance.

• Self Parking is $18 per night, Valet Parking for $26 per night.
